Do my eyes deceive me?

Prime (ch.10) seems very sharp and clear this morning. However, my TV doesn’t seem to recognise it as being in HD, though it it does recognise it as using Dolby D audio, like the other HD channels.

Could someone please check and confirm?

This would indeed be huge news, and a huge boost for Freeview if true!

Cheers,

Bryan.

Hi

Yes Freeview is delighted to announce PRIME is now broadcasting in HD on the DTT platform as of last night. It adds to the HD channels of TVNZ 1, TVNZ 2, Three, TVNZ Duke, Maori TV, Te Reo ThreeLife and Kordia TV.

Excellent. Thanks Josh. Any word of them adding Prime Plus 1 to DTT as well?

Yes, Prime TV is now transmitting in HD from Mt Cargill, Dunedin. Terrific picture. I am hoping Prime will now use their now redundant S.D transmitters for a new channel: Prime TV Plus 1. Any chance of that happening?

Nothing in the pipeline, but if SKY announces something we will let you know :)
