<p>Thanks for your suggestions , what I found was the old setup was motorised but hadn't been working for some time , the dish was aligned and the LNB was fine, we bypassed the motor and bingo great signal.</p>
<p>I replaced the cable top to bottom for good measure as it looked quite old.</p>

<p>It is not a sky dish or LNB the dish is much larger than a sky dish , on the old box the picture is great steady and sharp with no noise.</p>

When you do a scan for channels it goes through all the frequencies for the LNB and I don't see anywhere under the settings that you can make it 1 or the other.
