Hi, I have read elsewhere in this forum, rumors of a revamped (?) EPG. I currently have a TIVO that is on its last legs and am ready to buy the latest Panasonic Blu-ray/PVR but after connecting up at the shop realised it uses the  most unfriendly visual EPG (direct from freeview?) after using the far superior TIVO version.

Is there a time frame on this upgrade and is there a preview somewhere? Would really like to see this before committing several hundred dollars on something I will just end up getting frustrated with.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light.

I've had Panasonic recorders for 5 years (BW880 and BWT720) now and never found the EPG unfriendly. It's very easy to use. Also never had any of the problems mentioned in this forum that other brands seem to encounter. Always remember the EPG is only a guide and  subject to human error by those that assemble the info so not to be relied upon. When necessary for must record material I use Timer Record which is always reliable.

Hi Alan

Nothing heard on a new EPG, but if anything happens we will let you know on this forum :-)

EPG Issue-Timaru 23 NOV: Some Timaru customers are reporting missing EPG information and in turn can not record. This issue is being looked into (1.48pm).
