The recommended dish elevation for my location is 44.4Deg. Trying this I get no signal. Looking at most dishes in the area they all appear to be at an elevation of around 23deg???? and they work.

So I tried this and it works. So why is the recommendation for around 45deg

Cheers

Hi all,

I am new to Freeview.

My ex-house owner left a Topfield TF6000E satellite box. It still turns on and seems doing it's job.

On the roof there is a dish installed there, I have no idea whether it was for Sky or Freeview before.

Recently I just bought a Samsung hybrid TV, and started to try getting Freeview through the dish.

When I hook it up it doesn't show any signal quality or networking available.

I have tried letting TV to search for channels with below parameter conbinatinos but it always said no satellite signal.

Arial: Freeview Satellite

Region selection: Wellington

LNB Settings:

Satellite: Optus D1 160E

Transponder: 12483MHz / 12456MHz

DiSEqC Mode: Off

LNB type: single

One LNB oscillator: 10750MHz / 11300MHz

Tone 22kHz: Off

Network: searching (always)

Signal quality: 0% (always)

I have also tried hook the TF6000F on the line but there is no difference.

What could have been wrong and how can I make it work?

Appreciate the helps.

Hi,
