Cheers....

Any ETA as to when they might be back? - also will you be releasing the netflix app on the dish TV boxes in NZ?

I've asked the dev team regarding this and will get back to you, however in regards to the NETFLIX in the future, it's best to contact Netflix and request them to be made available on the DISH TV NZ Aerialbox and satBox range of products as they do take things in consideration especially device expansion

Freeview needs to approve the apps in order for us to release them, Freeview talks to broadcasters in negotiation of the acceptance, There is also a few technical bugs I have picked up which has been reported to the engineers at TVNZ and Mediaworks.

They seemed to be working fine when I used them, apart from the tvnz which kept going to the beginning of the programme after every ad break.   If tvnz and tv3 werent so retentive and allowed their apps to be used with chromecast as well it would be much better.  They are like dinosaurs stumbling in a modern world.

You are spot on with the issue report, that's the issue we are getting too and its been reported,

Chromecast is a difficult platform to provide for as it may break or void the current rights for the TVNZ or TV3. However if you have a satBox then why need a chromecast? ;) he he

Ha.... life is not complete without chrome casting netflix....;)

Haha don't worry, I have one too! Brilliant !

Wait a minute ?you have the ability to block or remove the apps from the users device?

Are the apps downloaded to the box or simply connecting and displaying through a dishtv portal URL page somewhere?

Its through a Dish TV portal on our server but the unit can only retrieve the apps via the Apps button

So if the sites down for some reason users can't access the apps? or are the apps cached onto the receivers hard drive.
