No reception check cable/Satellite

Hi I have a dish Tv s7070r and this error keeps coming back.  No reception check cable/Satellite.

Biggles is right, the likely cause for no reception would have to do with your LNB or satellite dish.

How old do you reckon your Dish has been up for? You might have the old SKY LNB which tends to fail over time.

Definitely get your LNB checked. With a good working LNB you should only ever get rain fade/no reception in heavy downpours. My SKY LNB is now about 7 yrs old and I have only ever had loss of reception in tropical downpours about twice a year.
