You are not alone in having this problem (your post didn't show up until I also posted). I have also posted on freeviews facebook page, and several others have the same issue.

Power Cut by look of it    Rock Edge and Radio Live off too

OK thanks for the update, nice to get some sense of what might be happening

Yeh  The Rock 91.9   The Edge 97.5  and Live 99.1 go Off  as well

They share the same site at Ngarara Road Waik   as Freeview UHF    Unfortunately

no Standby Diesel plant at that site !!!!

Thanks Steve, any idea on whole long something like this takes to fix, or is that a "how long is a piece of string" type question.

Well my Experience with Electra is you could be waiting a while , if it is their problem !!

I switched to my Satellite box  ( good backup )

I rang the national electrical emergency breakdown service no and they had not heard of any power problems on the Kapiti Coast. So….. ?

So are Electra the ones responsible for maintenance of the Ngara Rd site?

If so would contacting them help speed up the process, or are they likely to know already?

Really appreciate your input BTW and I am using it to post updates on Facebook (hope you don't mind)

If its the power line down the Ngarara road yes

if its the

transmitter site  it is Kordia

Do Electra supply the site?

OK that's good to know because someone has just posted on facebook that they had rung the national rung the national electrical emergency service and they had not heard of any electrical problems for this area. So might well be Korida that needs to be contacted.

Apparently so
