Hi Tony, when you enter your address into the Coverage Check Tool - what's the output you get?

If your aerial's aligned properly, not obstructed by trees etc and cables are all connected properly you should be getting good signal on all channels.  A signal amplifier may help too but I'm thinking you might be in a marginal coverage area which means a Phased Array UHF aerial or an elevated aerial might work better (hence asking for coverage check output here).

Definitely go for a TV with Freeview|HD built-in because you'll get High Definition pictures on selected programmes through ONE, TV2 & 3 and you'll notice a definite improvement in picture quality.  Plus lots of good deals on at all TV retailers - maybe something to check out when they have Easter Sales.

You may have an unsuitable antenna for your location. Check and compare signal strength and quality on each of the 3 mux. If all are reasonably low then an amp or antenna change may help.

Plus I've found TV tuners seem to be more sensitive and give better results than most STBs.

Sommet Sports image quality is vulgar. They are feeding non broadcast quality feeds into encoders, 360p sub 1 Mbps free stuff anyone can find on the Internet. Solution is to not watch the vulgarity. Why Sommet think people would find this is acceptable in 2014 is beyond me. Most of the soccer games are just a big blur, looks like 6 bit color, 2 bits on the green giving 4 shades of green in the grass. Prime isn't much better as Sky only supply a low bitrate, 3 Mbps, feed. Their sat mpeg2 version is even worse though. Sky's sat services, with visible mpeg2 macroblocks,  used to be the all time quality low, now Sommet and Apna win hands down. Apna can't even get the aspect ratio correct.

P.S. Sommet looks just as bad if using a TV with inbuilt tuner. I would complain on their facebook page if you can.
