Hi, I recently got rid of Sky and bought an S7070rHD-XM Freeview box. Guy in the shop said best one and he just plugged in and it worked.

But, I did all of the plug in stuff and got no signal at all. I have an LG Smart TV.

I rang Dish and they said get a technician in.

Before I do this does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Was the previous box working fine before installing the DISH TV box?

Thanks Josh Hill

Yes the Sky box was working before and had great reception on all channels.

Thanks

Check your LNB frequency. Should normally be 10750 but you may have an 11300 LNB?

Can you post a screenshot of your setup parameters?

Thanks Biggles, Have uploaded two photos of the system trying to do its thing. Looks like the 11300 number you mention is on one of the screen shots.

What do I have to do about this?

Thanks for your help

Hi patrick,

Head back to the first menu in your first image and press the blue button, that opens up the LNB Settings, on there it will have an option to change the LNB Freq from 11300 to 10750 do that and save and see if you get some signal on the bottom right corner, if so then complete the scan and you should have channels. If not then the issue is likely your Satellite Dish.

Josh

Josh beat me to it. Needs to be changed to 10750/10750.

Hopefully it will work then.

I'm guessing the Shop's Dish has an 11300 LNB and yours is 10750 as is normal for Sky Dishes.

Thanks Biggles and Josh Hill. Tried that and unfortunately did not work.

Looks like I am getting the man technician around.

Appreciate your help
