I know this has been posted before late last year and earlier, but we are based in Feilding (near Palmerston North) and have recently been having a lot of trouble with these channels.  My partner checked out the aerial (in case of the recent high winds causing issues) but everything looks okay there.   We were losing most channels during the storms etc, but now they're all working fine except the Mediaworks ones!    Before we got to the cost of getting a techie in, I'm just checking to see if any known/similar issues experienced by anyone else in the general Manawatu area with these channels?

We've retuned TV a couple of times, reset it, unplugged it and plugged it in again - basically followed all the prior instructions provided on other forums. Cabling seems fine (no damage) and other channels all okay.

Right now the channels are very very intermittent (occasionally picking up snippets of what is showing) but rest of time we get "network unavailable" or a colourful static edged background with a gray panel with a massive  "Get Out" printed across it! (this is image shown via the aerial, not a tv based message). Then screen will either pick up snippets of what is meant to be showing, or give me black screen with the network unavailable box.

We are watching on a Veon TV via UHF aerial & all our other channels are clear as a bell.   The issues started a few weeks back with blocky/jumpy viewing on these channels, but has progressively worsened, and now we have nothing.

Any help here appreciated.

Faults like this are generally associated with the antenna and or cabling. It would seem that your signal on the Mediaworks MUX may be just too too low while the others are above the threshold for reception. What signal strength are you getting on each of the MUX? Can you post a picture of your antenna? In Feilding I would expect 100/100 for signal/quality with pretty much any outdoor antenna.

That's a wee bit too technical for me!  How do I find out about the signal strengths?  Is this something a tech would need to investigate (i.e. is it something we need to check out/measure up at the antenna?), or can you let me know how I can find out (i.e. is it able to be discovered by checking settings on the tv)?    Thanks for your help, Biggles!

Should be able to find signal strength in the setup menu somewhere . Normally under manual tuning. Should show some sort of graph or line indicating strength and quality. Different brands, different Menus.

If you can find manual tuning then check signal strength on channels 28, 32, 34, 36 which are the 4 MUX on Wharite. Ch32 is Mediaworks
