A lot of the Q & A on this forum is very technical - mine question is relatively simple!

I cancelled SKY and now want to go back to my Freeview set-up.  I've followed all the instructions but unfortunately keep getting the "No reception" message.  I have a Dish TV S7090PVR box.

I thought that because I had been receiving SKY, Freeview digital would be no problem with current aerial/dish set-up?

Do I need to get a certified Freeview/Dish TV installer to come and change something?

:(

You should have no problem receiving Freeview with any Satellite box provided all the parameters are set correctly. If Sky was working OK then logically there is nothing wrong with the dish and cable but probably an error in your setup parameters.

See page 11 & 12 in your manual and tell us what parameters you have set.

One common reason for no reception is the LNB frequency. Make sure the LNB frequency in setup matches the frequency marked on the LNB.

generally 10750 or 11300

Thank you Biggles and willis.

So I'm in the Tuning Wizard section - do I Blind Scan or Satellite Scan?

The LNB frequency is different depending on which one I select.

Do I need to select all the parameters? LNB, DiSEqC, Tone switch and Positioner?

Try a Blind Scan for FTA channels. Set LNB to 10750 and if that doesn't work try 11300.

You shouldn't need to alter any other parameters.

If you can access the dish on the roof have a look at the LNB. The frequency should be labeled on the side or back.
