i recently purchased this reciever and would like to mention a couple of things ive noticed
when it checks for a over the air update at 4am the reciever doesnt return to stanby it stays on and would be nice if it had a lower power mode so when the unit is in stanby the hard drive turns off to i have this unit in my bedroom when i turn it off to go to sleep i can hear the hard drive still going
part from those things i like this unit so far

We have received a few messages the last few days about this from other customers. We now will be looking at the unit with the development team overseas.  

If any Zygo S2000 customers have any issues similar to the ones reported contact our support team via support@dishtv.co.nz or our 0800 DISH TV Phone line. I am also here troubleshoot and answer any questions you may have. either via a new discussion or private message.

hi peter rabbit would be interested in knowing if a new one works better another thing ive just experienced is it wouldnt boot up from stanby turned on via remote red light on front turned green but thats it nothing else i powered off at wall waited bout a minute then it powered up as it should
this unit certainly seems very buggy definitly has issues that need resolving mines only a week old i ordered it direct from dishtv website
forever having to switch off at wall to reboot and had 3 programmes booked to record in libruary it said they all failed

new one does the same so I guess they have some issues to sort out...

Last month I bought a Zygo 2000. When it works it is great but unfortunately I am having lots of issues. It keeps turning itself off, and on, 3 times in last hour whilst watching a recording, plus just freezes whilst watching recordings. It also doesn't pick up the correct start/finish time of recordings made through TV Guide. Sometimes it records the hour beforehand. I bought it online from The Warehouse and it was described as a MyFreeview recorder but I see from the box the "My" is missing, guess this might be why I'm having so many issues. Do I just return it for a refund or is there a fix?

We are sorry that you are having a range of issues with the Zygo unit, we are well aware of this and we are soon going to provide a software update which will correct the issues discussed here, The Zygo is a MyFreeview product although this is not clear from the marketing and product material as long as you make use of the supplied splitter and cables to connect into the two tuners at the back you will be able to make use of all the MyFreeview features.

Hi. Is there any update on the above noted issues with the Zygo s2000. Still have to put up with my unit freezing or turning off/on several times whilst watching recordings. Plus picking up the wrong start/finish times so miss beginning/end/or both on recordings.
I am reluctant to return as have built up a library of kids programmes, albeit with bits missing.
I have checked for updates but none ever come up. There is an option to add minutes to the start/end of recordings but this function doesn't work.
Any progress on fixing these faults?

I have sent through a log to the team and will get back to you with any response or updates from them, we are having difficulty with the software developers overseas with this particular unit and are trying our best to get things sorted.
