I am having same problem in Christchurch. TV 1 or TV 1 plus will only go to Non existent Ch 600 on E.P.G. on Freeview for recording. So nothing gets recorded unless it is recorded at time or on a timer setting. I assume this is s problem with programming of epg, but how does it get corrected?

We are talking to Pixel Magic at the moment to see what the fault is, this is an issue that a lot of others are reporting so we will get back to you on what Pixel Magic says.

Hi Robert, please power off your Magic TV 3600 and power back on.  The technical team has advised that ch600 was used for testing and should no longer be visible to the MTV 3600 after a power cycle.

Please perform Settings -> System -> Factory Reset, then re-add the bookings.

Thanks guys, the problem has resolved. Someone contacted the Freeview people who programme the epg. I was about to do a factory reset as I had tried powering on and off before. Once I realised it was a common issue it meant it was to do with some change to the Freeview epg platform. It was the EPG not the Magic hdd recorder.
