Looking from your previous discussions you have a Dish TV S7070.

The issue could be a few things, the first thing we could try is a factory default which will reboot the device and rescan the channels including Prime.  If you can't get the channels back (Tuning Failed) then try this http://www.dishtv.co.nz/support/s7070-lnb-drift.htm

It shouldn't be a LNB ageing issue as you can get all channels fine.

Let us know if that helps restore Prime, If not then let us know and we can troubleshoot further.

Cheers!

Hi

Actually got a S7070R...still try same re boot?

Cheers

Follow these instructions:

  1. Press the Menu button to bring up the main menu
  2. Select Installation and press OK
  3. Select Tuning Wizard and press OK
  4. Enter the PIN code for the unit (the default is 0000)
  5. Select Blind Scan and press OK
  6. Press OK to start the Scan process
  7. Select "NO" for network scan and press OK

The receiver will then scan through and locate the Prime transmission. This process will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Once the scan process is completed the receiver will return to watching normal TV.

Hi

Nope that didnt work.

Prime has disappeared altogether and another TV3 has moved onto programme 10..

Four plus prog 9 and Edge TV prog 11 are not working now either saying no reception

I tried to add Prime manually 12707/22500 but it came up with duplite carrier found then tuning failed msg

What should the correct LNB set up be??...

Lets try a factory reset,

  1. Press the menu button on the remote to bring up the main menu
  2. Select Installation and Press Ok
  3. Select Factory Default and Press Ok
  4. Enter the pin code for the receiver (The default is 0000)
  5. Select Yes and press OK

Has this restored the channels, your LNB settings should be either 11300 or 10750

Nope didnt work either...no Prime channel still...after update it came up with message to add additional channels but it (12707/22500) came up with tuning failed again

What signal strength are you getting on the other channels?

May still be a dying LNB as Prime is the high freq end of the band and the others are much lower. If the LNB has drifted it may be affecting Prime but not the others. Try adjusting the LNB freq up or down +/- 5 - 10mhz.

Hi Biggles

Channels 1 to 8 getting 70% strength 98 quality...9 & 11 getting 64/60

How do i adjust the LNB freq?

Cheers

Pg11 of the manual

Those signal strengths are getting low so I'd suspect the LNB. I'd guess you probably get a lot of rain fade too.

Hi Biggles still no good after changing it up and down by 5%....doesnt seem to be a constant signal strength for that channel....im in a large apartment complex so dont have own LNB...has been a lot of rain but fine today

Have Dish Support just given up trying to solve problem?

Ah. You didn't say before that you were in an apartment complex.

In that case I'd suggest check with some neighbours and see if they have the same problem. Then get the building manager/landlord to do something about fixing it. It's most likely affecting many others. I'd say the LNB is dying or there's something gone wrong with the distribution system to the individual apartments.
