I am using a SatBox S8200 with dish aerial.

When I book a Prime movie to record, or press record while viewing, the movie does not record and save to the library.   I can pause and rewind the movie while watching so obviously the movie is being recorded but once the movie is finished the movie disappears from the library (in fact it never appears in the Library; only in List with "R" against it but this listing gets deleted as soon as the movie finishes.

Other Prime programmes record and save to the library OK.

Have Prime "coded" their movies to prevent saving to the Library? Other channel movies record OK.

Thanks Josh,

Thanks for such a prompt response - great support.

I should add the following:

Referring to the Dish TV S8200 & T2200 Freeview EPG Changes remarks in the discussion panel; I tried this and process does not work to record. I still have to use the red record button. It may well be that I have not downloaded the latest software updates; I turned off automatic updates as they caused the SatBox to lock up requiring switching off at wall and were a general nuisance.  Perhaps the fact I have not got the latest software may be a factor.  I will do a manual update later tonight and check progress.

Secondly the statement that other channel movies record OK is probably incorrect now as well. I now note that a TV2 film booked to record may well suffer the same fate, i.e. will not be saved in the Library. I base this on remarks in the List bookings against previous Prime, and now TV2 films, booked to record of "This booking will be removed after the recording is successful". There is little point of recording something only to have it removed if successful I would have thought.

Cheers,

Allen

Hey Allen

Updating to the newest firmware will help indeed, I have just got back in relation your first question,

There is a folder in series view called single recordings. Your recording might be in there.
Also try changing back to episode view if not in the folder and see if you can see it there.

Josh

Hi Allen,

Just checking up with you on what the situation is now, are things corrected after an update, have you found the recordings in the single episode view mode as indicated above?
