Hey Guys

i have a portable UHF HD aerial - 42db gain and 3/4g blocker in it and has been working fine for months,

since a week ago it feels like the signal has become weaker around our area as we intermittently or not at all get signals for channels 1-2 channels 3 onward are fine.

we are 5km away from Waiatarua tower

17km away from skytower
and 20 km away from the Remuera towers

my aerial has a 25km range so my question is - is thir still issues with the Waiatarua towers

cheers

Hi Keegan

There shouldn't be any more issues with the Waiatarua tower, there hasn't been any environmental changes around your aerial in the last few days that has caused the loss of channels?  Is the aerial directly in line of sight of the tower?

Have your tried re tuning the channels?

Josh

The issue is probably that you don’t have a suitable antenna , 42dB means diddly squat if your incoming signal is poor
I’d suggest you get someone to install a proper UHF antenna
