From next Wednesday (1 February), Prime Plus 1 will be launched - but it's for SKY TV customers with the Basic package. It is a duplicate feed of the existing Prime channel with all programmes screening one hour later than the original broadcast.

As a SKY customer, Prime Plus 1 can be found on channel 514. However, a small number of Freeview customers (Freeview Satellite DTH, or Direct To Home transmission only) can also choose to manually tune to their receiver to see the channel, which is broadcast digitallyPrime will work on the channel's availability for all Freeview customers in the future.

It's on Freeview (but on a Sky MUX) so it's available to all Freeview Satellite watchers. According to Geekzone Posts it's on the same Mux as Prime. Isn't listed on the Optus D1 list yet though I believe it is transmitting already.

Question as I have 3 Sat boxes , [2 that aren't freeview approved and 1 that is] that when I tined them in they pick up all the sky channels will these be able to pick up the new prime or will it be a locked channel i.e a $ sign beside it ?

If you already have Prime / Bravo Plus 1 & the edge ,you shouldn't have any problems tuning in Prime Plus 1

prime +1 already running especially on non approved freeview boxes

just scan 12519 on a non network fta search then move the ch to where you want it in the channel list

as for those old zinwells time for something better

Zinwell ZMX7500 & DSE7500 Prime+1

Prime+1 added successfully to a Zinwell ZMX7500 this morning.

Video but no audio at the moment (assuming I have the correct audio PID 1102)

I have used a PCR of 8182 in the meantime until the correct setting is advised

Graham with 2 of my sat boxes I have the following [twh box] transponder 12521-22500 audio 1002 video 1102 pcr 1002 and the non freeview box [Alkris] transponder 12520-22500 audio 1002 video 1102 pcr 1002 But to get the 3 sky channels and prime plus 1 on a dse 7500 box what combination of numbers can i use to get all 4 , as I have tried the 12519 transponder and nothing seems to have worked for prime plus 1 . So can you help please . Thanks Ps the 1st 2 boxes are receiving prime plus 1 clear as a bell

Hi David,

My audio is now working ok after I re-entered the Audio PID correctly :-(. Assuming that your DSE is receiving Bravo+1,Prime and Edge at the moment as per the previous instructions, this is what I did.

Menu -> System Installation -> Delete TP

Deleted the current 12519 TP (the last in the list, probably no. 4)with the 3 channels above on it

Menu -> System Installation -> Auto Tune (with the following settings)

Satellite: FTA (or whatever the User Satellite was you were using for the 3 channels above)

Start Freq: 12480

End Freq: 12486

Polarisation: Hori

This will add duplicates of all the channels on the TVNZ 12483 TP. After saving you should end up on Ch 9 Maori Television.

Menu -> System Installation -> Edit TP

Change the new TP just added (last on the list) from 12483 (often +/- 1 or 2) to 12519 press OK and wait for it to finish scanning.

Menu - Channel Manager -> Edit Channel

Now edit the PID table as per the previous instructions to restore Bravo+1, Prime and Edge

http://freeviewforum.co.nz/rescan/zinwelldseguide-18

After putting back the 3 channels above, the next one available for editing is LCN (S.No.) 14

Edit the PIDs on line 14 with the settings you have already figured out

i.e Audio 1002, Video 1102, PCR 1002 and Prime+1 should now be on LCN 14

Clean up with the Channel Manager , rename the 4 channels just added and remove the 3 unwanted channels on LCN 16, 19 & 20 (although I have left mine there in the meantime in case Sky add more unencrypted channels to this TP in the future)

Kind regards,

Graham

Graham , I still cannot not receive Prime + 1 , on the screen in a blue box it states Audio Video Not Available . I can get Bravo + 1 , Prime and the Edge clear as a bell . David
