I recently purchased a Samsung HD Smart TV, UA43M5500ASXNZ

Unfortunately, your Freeview on demand app isn't very smart!

One of the main selling points for me was that I could stream TV on demand over my wifi, but the Freeview app freezes the moment that it opens; I can't get past the opening screen. I can't even close the app once it's crashed, I have to power down the TV to clear it.

Other streaming apps work fine and reinstalling the Freeview app didn't help.

Hi Craig, 

Are you able to tell me which app on Freeview On Demand you are having issues with? TVNZ OnDemand or ThreeNow or Maori TV?

I used to be able to tab across and access the individual apps , but now it just freezes on the opening menu screen of the freeview on demand app. You can't download each networks app individually eh?

Hi Josh. Have you had any thoughts re my Freeview app? I contemplated contacting Samsung as perhaps the tv unit is faulty, but all the other streaming apps like Spotify work fine. As I mentioned, the Freeview app just freezes as soon as it loads and can't be closed.
