Hi, I have a setting on my masthead amplifer, that has a place to insert a little screwdriver and adjust it..  Apparently it adjusts from 10 to 30db if I have that right..

Can I just ignore it? or do I need to adjust it??? If so how??

Probably just ignore it. Otherwise check your picture and signal strength at full clockwise and full anti-clockwise. Somewhere in that range should be optimum. You should be able to find instructions and/or manual for it online.

check picture and signal strength?   "No channels found" Please check aerial or local signal availability" lol

Im about ready to give up..  Now up to 3.4m high..  Added a masthead amp.. Bought brand new cables. Still nothing!

Last option is to try a phased array to which I notice my neighbour down the road has one..  Hmmm. Worth the hassle or not?  :-(

sorry Biggles, I should have clarified..  Set mast head amp gain to the middle range..  I just wanted to know what to set it at before I hoisted the whole thing up.. Anyway decided on middle range then I could adjust it either way from there..  So finally set to install..

Have done everything apart from using a phased array...   And now no signal at all.. So will try a phased array as a last measure..  Will let you know how it goes..
