I have freeview box with a satellite dish. An old sky dish. When its raining or really windy my tv freezes up or just goes blank. It cut out altogether about 4 months ago and I had to replace the lbn or lnb thingy. Its really annoying/frustrating seeing this digital tv is meant to be better. Didn't have these problems on the old setup. Any ideas what I can do. Thanks.

If your signal is being interrupted by Wind/Rain this would  indicate that the Dishes line of sight is being obscured by a tree or other object that moves in the wind.

I have the same problem here as the neighbours trees are so tall and when it rains or is windy the branches move.

You can move the dish to a better position or remove the object that is blocking the signal.

Hi Paul

Thanks for that. I think the trees around it are fine but I will have another look and prune them back some more and see if it helps.
