Hi every few minutes a sign pops up on my screen saying new S/W is available,do you want to install.If I press appropriate buttons to install it keeps popping up again.If I say no It will then turn my screen off for quite a while and repeat the same thing...What can I do to stop this reoccuring all the time.

What is the make and model of your freeview  box ?

Hi Pamela,

It's an S7090, DishTV satellite PVR.

I had a similar problem with the same model receiver at a customer's place last week.

The receiver is probably trying to download the new "Prime" upgrade for you. - In my customer's case, the receiver had downloaded the transponder details, but wasn't getting a signal on the 12707 transponder. We had to alter the LNB "skew" (on the roof, at the dish) so the receiver could pick up a signal, to allow it to download the new Prime channel.

You could ring DishTV at 07-929-4123 in case they can help you at the receiver itself, but I suspect you will have to get an installer out to adjust the LNB on your dish.
