Hello

I've just noticed that we have only less than three days left to make the transition from the old analogue network to digital.

Freeview|HD (via UHF aerial) has more free-to-air TV channels than its satellite platform, including Sommet Sports, Al Jazeera, The Shopping Channel, TVSN and YESSHOP respectively. But sadly, this platform is not available in the eastern Bay of Plenty (ie. Whakatane and Kawerau) after the analogue switch-off on 1 December at 2am.

The only way to watch television in the eastern Bay of Plenty is via satellite, with less free channels to choose from on the Freeview Satellite platform. Pay-TV service SKY has even more.

Best wishes.

I understand that Sommet are soon to transmit via satellite, so you'll have that one soon. You'll still miss out on the 3 shopping channels and Al Jazeera, but you do have Cue TV that terrestrial viewers don't have. (A good trade I reckon!)

Thank you!

unfortunately its not easy, the transmission on satellite is harder because of the costs, sharing the platform and because the transmitter is not locally operated.

You will just need to wait, and perhaps with much preassure you can get Yousshop, etc... and Al Jazeera unencrypted and added to the Freeview LCN like C4, Prime and Trackside with approved units

Anyone know when Prime will finally switch off on 12456  ?
